THE WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
We are at war. This war is not natural but spiritual. The weapons we use are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. The way to gain the power to destroy the works of the enemy is through having a spiritual relationship with God, developed through prayer. James says, “The effectual prayers of the righteous availeth much.” Prayer moves the heart of God.
We need to be praying before we enter into battle, meaning that we should be prepared with God’s power as we enter into battle. In the heat of battle is not where we start praying. We should go into battle knowing the victory is already won, we enter into filled with the Holy Spirt and His power overflowing in us.
Let us go forth pressing our way in battle and take back what the enemy has stolen. We have been set free from the power of sin and restored. We have the ability to bring every thought under control by the power of the Holy Spirit. Let us go to war and win our victory in the name of Jesus.
Let’s Pray.
Father God, thank You for the victory in the name of Jesus. We can go forth in the strategy You laid out in Your Word. We have the power and authority to conquer the enemy. We can and we will take back the territory You have given us. We need not be afraid for You are with us. We shall go forth in victory. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
