GOD’S ENDURING MERCY
O give thanks unto the God of heaven: for His mercy endureth for ever. Psalm 136:26
Saints, we have a reason to be thankful, for God’s mercy endures for ever. No matter how bad things may be, we should always be thankful for the mercy our God shows us. We all experience times in our lives where things don’t always go the way we would like or desire. Nevertheless, God’s mercies are new every morning and reigns for ever.
Psalm 136 gives us so much to reflect upon. God truly loves us and takes care of us. We can see His mercy in His creation and the great wonders He performed. We see His mercy in the deliverance of His people when they cried out to Him. He parted the Red Sea so Israel could cross over on dry land while destroying Pharoah and his host when the sea was brought back together.
He brought down kings and kingdoms and gave their land for an heritage. He remembers us in low estate and provides for us. Yes, His mercy endureths to all generations, not only those in times past, but for us right now in the present and for the world to come. Let us give thanks to God for His enduring mercy, for His mercy endureths for ever.
Let’s Pray.
Father God, we thank You for Your mercy, although not deserved. We are thankful to You for You are good and Your mercy endureths for ever. You are awesome by Your very nature and character. Help us Lord to walk worthy of the mercy You grant us. Help us be an example as You are our example. Thank You Lord for not giving up on us but giving us opportunities day by day to encounter Your mercies. We should have been consumed but Your mercies faileth not. Help us Lord to seek You in all things, to know You are available to us. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Be Blessed Because You are Blessed,
Pastor Donald and Sister Hyon Brown
