CLAIM WHAT BELONGS TO YOU

Romans 8:16-17

16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.

17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

As children of God we have inherited all things. Legally, all things belong to us because we are joint-heirs with Christ. According to Hebrews 1:1-2, Jesus has been appointed heir of all things. And, since we have received Christ and have become children of God, we then are heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ. The blessings God planned for us are ours. God paid for them through His death and resurrection. Let us stand fast in our position and lay claim to what rightfully belongs to us through Jesus Christ. Some may ask, how can we know what belongs to us? The knowledge of God reveals it unto us. Hosea 4:6 says, My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Not only were they destroyed because of a lack of knowledge, but because they also rejected knowledge. They refused to listen to the laws of God and obey them, resulting in them being deceived. This should not be us. Let us rise up in the power of Jesus Christ to take our rightful position God planned and purposed for our lives. Let’s take our rightful place, Jesus is coming.

Let’s Pray. Our Father, Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, thank You for the promises You have given us. Help us hold fast to them when Satan attacks, recognizing our rightful position of strength and power is in Jesus Christ. Let us rise up and lay claim to what belongs to us as joint-heirs in Christ Jesus. Help us Lord to walk out the purpose and plan you have for our lives. Have Your way in us as we submit our lives to You. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Be Blessed Because You are Blessed,

Pastor Donald and Sister Hyon Brown
