PRAYER AND FASTING
And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint. Luke 18:1
Prayer and fasting are weapons of the believer that can bind the enemy and destroy the strongholds of Satan. We need to use them to breakthrough the territory of the enemy.
There are demonic forces, spiritual powers and rulers of darkness, spirits of violence, confusion, greed, murder, hate, envy, rebellion, strife, fear, lust, perversion and the like hovering over our cities, communities, and nations around the world. They are everywhere; on the streets, in our workplaces, homes, everywhere.
If we want to see breakthroughs, it is vitally important for us to use the weapons of prayer and fasting to penetrate the barriers of the enemy. Despite how things appear in the world, know that God has not left us alone. He has not forgotten or abandoned us. Let us penetrate deep into the Spirit and break through the barrier the enemy has built using the powerful weapons God has given us.
Jesus experienced great victories. They were won in prayer even before He went out. We need to enter into spiritual warfare through prayer as Jesus did to penetrate enemy lines and win the battle. Jesus prayed and fasted, let us use His example and secure break throughs.
Let’s Pray.
Father God, we thank You for what the power of prayer and fasting can do. Help us to seek You in prayer and fasting. Jesus sought You in prayer and fasting. We should be no different as we desire the same end results. Thank You for hearing and answering our prayers by faith believing. Thank You for the victories now in this time. Have Your way in our lives even the more. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
