BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT (BLUF)
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. Ecclesiastes 12:13
In the military, we used the acronym BLUF to describe the end result of a desired objective. We would adapt, adjust, and overcome in order to accomplish the desire result.
In our kingdom experience, our objective should be, to love God, to fear Him, and to keep His commandments. We are to do this with our whole being. Doing so will be beneficial in our lives and for the betterment of others. David said in Psalm 103:2, Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits. We can look back at our lives and see where the providential hand of the Lord brought us out. Understand this, it was not we ourselves that brought us out. No, it was the Lord.
Moses asked a question of Israel after the Lord delivered them out of Egypt. He said, what does the Lord require of thee? The answer can be found in Deuteronomy 10:12-13, “And now Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all His ways, and to love Him. And to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul. To keep the commandments of the Lord, and the statutes, which I command ye this day for thy good (for our benefit).
If we love God, let us adapt, adjust, and overcome the things of this world to accomplish God’s will through our lives. This means we must love one another, forgive one another, and forget the suffered wrongs. BLUF, Christ did it for us.
Let’s Pray.
Father God, we thank You for Your unselfish love. We all have experienced Your grace although undeserved, thank You. Thank You for Your mercy in that we did not get what we deserved. Lord, help us to walk worthy of Your sacrifice. Help us live lives that will impact the lives of others to come to know and accept You as their Lord and Savior. Help us understand we are not just benefactors of Your blessings but to be a blessing to others. Use us Lord as You choose. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Be Blessed Because You are Blessed,
Pastor Donald and Sister Hyon Brown
