BLESSINGS ARE FORTHCOMING
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Habakkuk 2:3
Are you waiting for a blessing? The blessings of God are forthcoming. Of course, it is not based upon our timetable but His. In our minds, blessings seems to linger. But wait for it, for it will come at God’s appointed time which is always the right time. The Psalmist said, “Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. (Psalm 27:14)
In Habakkuk 1:2, the prophet Habakkuk asked, how long, Lord, must I call for help, but You do not listen? He prophesied God’s judgement upon Judah at the hands of a Babylonian invasion. Habakkuk no doubt struggled with how God could use the corrupt Babylonians to prosper as they exploited His people Judah. God promised hope and restoration to Judah in His own time.
The revelation (vision) is yet for an appointed time. Judah was in captivity for 70 years. By our standards that is a long time, but know this, God is faithful. Though it lingers, wait for it, it will come and will not delay. A songwriter wrote, In His time, in His time, He makes all things beautiful, in His time. Oh, how true this is for us all. We can trust God at His Word. What He says He will do, He will do it. Won’t He do it? I am a witness that He will. Let us keep looking to Him who promised. He makes good on His promises.
Let’s Pray.
Father God, thank You for being our God, our Lord, and our Savior. Thank You for being faithful in fulfilling Your Word in our lives. We are recipients of Your many blessings; we are grateful to You. Help us Lord to always look to You no matter the situation or circumstances. You Lord are well able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we can ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. Though Your blessings may not be manifested in our time as we desire, they will come and will not delay. You are in control of all things. Your timing is always right, it is Your appointed time. Help us learn to wait on You in all things. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Be Blessed Because You are Blessed,
Pastor Donald and Sister Hyon Brown
