WATCH AND PRAY
Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak. Mark 14:38 A military person is taught and trained to be alert. It is one of the most important things for one to learn. It is vitally important to watch and be on alert for any attack of the enemy. A lapse in alertness could result in a major defeat or even death. Being alert applies to believers today as we don’t want the enemy to take us by surprise. Jesus commanded us to “watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation.” (Matthew 26:41) We are to also watch for our brothers and sisters in the body of Christ. The Apostle Paul speaks on putting on the whole armor of God, (Ephesians 6:11-17). He concludes by saying in Ephesians 6:18, “praying always with prayer and supplication in the spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for the saints.” Remember there are others dependent upon the prayers of the righteous. Let us not take our responsibilities lightly. Watch and pray as lives are in the balance. Let’s Pray. Father God, thank You for making a way for us to be saved and to walk in righteousness. Help us Lord to be self-controlled and alert of the enemy. Thank You for making us aware of our surroundings through the help of the Holy Spirit. Help us realize we need Your help and Your power to stand. Have Your way in our lives, Lord. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen. Be Blessed Because You are Blessed, Pastor Donald and Sister Hyon Brown
