Pastor's Weekly Encouragement and Prayer 29 December 2021

HEART OF EXPECTANCY Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. Psalm 28:19 We are days away from the end of another year. As we prepare to embark into a New Year, if it be God’s will, let us enter in with a heart of expectancy. Let us trust God at His word by waiting on Him to do what He will do with a heart of expectation. As we look back at our lives, has not God blessed us with benefits? God’s mercies and provisions are new every morning. Whatever our need, when we ask of God by faith believing, we should expect Him to provide. He does in provisions, blessings, miracles, and breakthroughs. There was a lame man in Acts 3 who was lame from birth. He was laid daily at the temple gate to receive alms from passer-byers. In his condition he had come to expect things from those passing his way. One day, Peter and John were passing his way. Peter said to him, look on us. He looked up expecting to receive something. Peter said silver and gold have I none but such as I have give I thee, in the name of Jesus rise up and walk. This man received more than he could have ever expected. Bottom line, he had a heart of expectancy. Let us trust God and wait on Him with expectancy. Let’s Pray. Father God, thank You for being the God You are. Thank You for all of Your many blessings. Help us trust and believe in You even the more with our whole heart. When we pray and ask anything of You, let us wait in expectancy. As we look forward to the New Year, we are expecting You to do mighty things. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen. Be Blessed Because You are Blessed, Pastor Donald and Sister Hyon Brown
