HEAR MY PRAYER
Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. (Psalm 61:1-2)
In the midst of all that is going on in the world, one can easily become overwhelmed. In this Psalm of David is a prayer when overwhelmed. Hear my cry, O God, attend unto my prayer. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I when I am overwhelmed.
We must realize God is our protection from the enemy and that we can trust in Him. When we put our trust in God we have all we need. He provides us with safety and security the world cannot give. We have access to God, He wants us to call out to Him as little children call out to their parents.
David said in Psalm 118:5, In my distress, I called upon the Lord, the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place (open place). David was protected, he did not fear, what can man do unto him? In God, we can have confidence knowing He has full control of everything. The Lord is on our side, we need not fear. Call out to God, He hears our prayers and responds to us. Thank God, there is none like Him.
Let’s Pray.
Thank You God or hearing our cry and responding to our need. No matter the problem we trust in You to deliver us. You are a prayer answering God, we have confidence in You. Thank You for being the rock that is higher than I. Thank You Lord for deliverance and protection you provide us. Help us to always call out to You whether we are overwhelmed or just to praise and worship You for being You. Help us Lord to seek You in all things. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Be Blessed Because You are Blessed,
