GOD KEEPS HIS PROMISES
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. 2 Corinthians 1:20
God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall not make it good? (Numbers 23:19) Man is subject to change their mind about things but God never changes.
God keeps His Word. In Him is no variableness nor shadow of turning. He does not forget what He has said. He is truthful and faithful and will fulfil what has gone out of His mouth. As He hath said to Israel, “My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. (Psalm 89:34) He told them they would inherit the land of Canaan and He was true to His Word despite their sin.
God stands ready to fulfill His promises in our lives today. The condition is that we line our lives up with His Word. He has not changed, He is forever the same. It is us who must change in order to receive what God has in store for us. Whether we obtain it is up to us in our obedience to Him. God will keep His promises. Let us do our part and live for Him.
Let’s Pray.
Father God, thank You for the precious promises You desire to fulfill in our lives. Help us line up in obedience to inherit the promises available to us that believe in You. Thankfully, You are not like man in that You cannot lie or turn away from us. Thank You for making all things good at the appointed time, which is Your time. Help us to live for Thee. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
